Medieval city of Montblanc

The beginnings of the current population of Montblanc are found around 1080. Eventually it became the 7th city of Catalonia in number of population and featured prominently in the economic social, political life.

Currently Montblanc is the capital of the region of Conca de Barbera and has the privilege to be one of the most important walled medieval towns in Catalonia.

One of the most outstanding festivals is the National Day of Sant Jordi, which is held every April 23th , although throughout the year other fairs and gastronomic events take place.

D.O. Conca de Barberà (wine region)

The wine labels are certified by the name of the Region D.O. Conca de Barberà.

Calcareous soils, poor in organic matter, combined with an average altitude of the area between 300 to 600 meters, impregnate wines with a fresh and light character, with a great aromatic expression at the same time.

The local variety of the Conca de Barbera is the Trepat: a long, large grape that produces fresh, fruity, low-alcohol wines, specially valued on the production of pink champagne.

Delta de l'Ebre

One of the most unique places in Catalunya is the arrival into the sea of the Ebro river. After hundreds of years, the sediment have built a wide extension of land where agricultural activities live with the fauna and endless sandy beaches.

The area is full of paths and trails for walking or cycling and contemplate the birds, crops of rice prestigious Delta, or the salt.

Another attraction of the area is the seafood cuisine with products and dishes such as eel, the tellerinas (small and smooth clam), the romesco sauce, or a special tipical cake made out of pumpkins.

Port Aventura

Inaugurated in 1995, Port Aventura theme park is located between the towns of Vila-seca and Salou.

Besides being one of the main attractions of the Costa Dorada, it is the most visited theme park in Spain and the sixth in Europe.

The park has 6 thematic areas: Mediterranean, Polynesia, China, Far West, Mexico, and Sesame Adventure, dedicated to the little ones.

The complex has been expanded several times and today consists of one (Port Aventura Park), a water park (Costa Caribe Aquatic Park), and a complex with 3 golf courses, beach club, restaurant, convention center, theme park luxury residential area (Lumine Beach & Golf).
